How do I offer a new album for licensing?
(~10 minutes)|
Log in, go to your artists profile and click on the "Music" tab.

Click on "Add album" at the top right.

“Create album”: Fill in the required fields. Make sure you mention all authors and their memberships in collecting societies correctly. You can adjust this later on the song level.

“Set prices”: check the “rightclearing” box.
|
Select a price plan or determine your prices yourself (detailed configuration). You can find detailed instructions

Don't forget to use the time while uploading to tag the songs by adding the instruments used and setting the mood, so that potential licensors can find what they're looking for.

How can I make an existing album available for licensing on rightclearing?
Important:
In order to sell or license songs you must upload lossless song files (WAV, FLAC or AIFF). MP3 files cannot be sold or licensed. Find out how to easily replace old MP3s with lossless files...
Replace existing songs

Click on the subitem "Sales & Licensing".

We recommend that you use a predefined price plan. Decide, whether you want to offer your songs at a low (for locally known artists), medium (for nationally known artists) or high (for internationally known artists) price. You can still adjust the prices for each usage individually.
Basic license
With this license your song may be used as follows:
- Commercial use is prohibited
- The author must be attributed
- Derivatives works permitted
Extended license
With this license your song may be used as follows:
- The work may be used commercially
- The author does not need to be attributed
- Derivatives works permitted
Budget over ... EUR
For budgets over 10’000 EUR the extended license has to be purchased. Also, licensees will have to pay a supplement so that you profit from big productions. You can determine the supplement in % of the production/media budget.

How can I adjust rightclearing to suit my needs?
(~5 minutes)You can determine for each form of use whether you want to allow licensing. You can for instance prohibit the use of your work in advertising completely. In the edit album screen click on the section "Sales and licenses" and remove the tick on the box "Use standard configuration for usage and topic permissions".
Special topics
For the special topics religion, politics, violence and pornography you can you can determine whether your music is "licensable immediately", "Conformation for budgets exceeding (amount)" "Conformation for all licenses" or "not licensable".
Type of use
You can select for each form of use, so for example for "Corporate communication" or "Music projects", you can determine whether your music is "licensable immediately", "Conformation for budgets exceeding (amount)" "Conformation for all licenses" or "not licensable".
Attention:

Potential licensees are often looking to license songs immediately. If you select " On request" often you might lessen your chances of finding licensees.
